At the edge of Morocco’s Drâa Valley rises the Kasbah des Caïds, a 16th-century fortress once home to Amazigh leaders and Berber traders guiding caravans along the ancient Saharan routes.
Today, this ancient Kasbah is reimagined as part of the OSUN Collection - a sanctuary where cultural preservation, sensitive, textured design, and authentic soul converge.
Nestled in the palm-filled oasis of Tamnougalt, the Kasbah lies along the scenic route from Marrakech to Merzouga — the most traveled passage to Morocco’s legendary Sahara dunes. This historic valley was once a vital stop on ancient caravan routes, where traders and nomads rested beneath the same desert skies.
Today, it remains an unforgettable waypoint for travelers journeying between the Atlas Mountains and the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Just outside the town of Agdz, the Kasbah offers convenient access along the Marrakech to Merzouga Route (approximately 4.5 hours from Marrakech to the Kasbah by car) while immersing guests in the tranquil rhythm of oasis life — date palms, mudbrick villages, and the timeless landscapes of southern Morocco.

The interiors blend tadelakt plaster, handwoven Berber textiles, carved cedar doors, and brass lantern light—a meeting of authenticity and comfort. Every detail has been restored with care, preserving the patina of centuries while introducing the quiet elegance of OSUN design.
